The founders had spent many years with prestigious Wall Street firms such as Salomon Bros., Kidder Peabody, and Alex Brown. The members of this investment banking boutique brought various skills with them such as all phases of corporate finance activity plus sales and trading expertise. While their focus had previously been in both the public and private arenas, its emphasis is directed toward the performance of various investment activities in the private market.
